The Lions Club of Buckhannon held its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, 11 April. Led by Lion co-chairmen Matt Hymes and Tom Hackett, fourteen Lions assembled at the Den at 9 a.m. to stuff eggs with jelly beans, then moved to City Park at 10 a.m. to hide the eggs. Fifteen prize eggs were hidden throughout the park by Lion Hymes.

The children were admitted at 11 a.m.those 4 and under first, as they have a special area in which to huntand it was all over by noon.

Other participating Lions included Charles Anderegg, Mary Ellen Biller, Sam Biller, Ben Crutchfield, Sarah Downes, Hank Ellis, Maureen Hull, Bill O’Brien, Jamie O’Brien, Conard St. Clair, Charles Watts, and Aubry Wilson.

Assisting them was Emma Lee O’Brien, daughter of Lion Bill O’Brien, who has helped with the Hunt for several years.

Expenses for the Hunt totaled $357.24 for candy and prizes.
